One quick glance through my wardrobe and you can see that I've got this thing for jumpsuits. I just love 'em. They're just so comfy and super practical for running around after a bubba. Luna has taken to walking everywhere with me holding both hands bent over, which results in a nice sore back for me and a great view of my behind for anyone unlucky enough to be following. The great thing about jumpsuits/playsuits is no knicker flashing as with a frock or jeans - hurray!
As well as being practical there's something effortlessly chic about a jumpsuit, throw it on with some statement earrings and sandals and you've got a fuss-free outfit with no messing around -particularly helpful with a 9 month old grabbing at your ankles while trying to get dressed in record time.
It seems my little Luna has inherited my love of jumpsuits and looks way cuter in them. Two stylish offerings from the high street are the current faves and have proved winners in the heat.
This colourful edition that I picked up while shopping in Ibiza town for Luna is cool and cute, perfect for playdates and lunching. While the cute blue stripe number from Next, complete with ruffle edged sleeves was the perfect look for sunset cava sipping (Cava for me, milk for Luna). No accessories needed for this little gem, the cheesecloth material kept her cool and the slouchy fit was comfy for her to do her fave thing - explore!
The venue for our sunset setting was Hostel Talamanca, the prettiest chill out restaurant/bar at our local beach. The tapas and seafood are divine here and it's the perfect people watching spot.
My go-to holiday jumpsuit is a black plunging Zara style that I picked up last season but it's earned itself plenty of style mileage. Easy to dress up or down, it pretty much works for any occasion and the ruffled plunge gives me easy access for breastfeeding the little lady. I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be a cropped style, meaning it was the perfect floor skimming length for little ol' me, no alterations required - yay. On this occasion I paired with my new pearl embellished Next sandals.
