Dora Herbst Ibiza

It's taken me almost 4 months to hunt down my favourite boutique in Ibiza but I think I might have just hit the jackpot.

The story starts a few weeks back while my Mum was visiting. Jumping on the water taxi that travels from the Marina Botofoch over to Ibiza Town, we got chatting to a lovely lady named Dora. German-born Dora began telling us of her life, travels and how she came to settle in Ibiza over 40 years ago. We were fascinated by artist/fashion designer, Dora's conversation and her stylish outfit didn't go un-noticed either, typical all-white Ibiza simplicity - beautiful. Dora mentioned that she owned a boutique in Marina Botofoch, Dora Herbst, and so I strolled on over a few nights later while vising our favourite local Italian, il Giardinetto.

Now this little shopping spot is more treasure trove than boutique. Packed with beautiful handcrafted designs, including sequin embellished jackets, kaftans and beautifully intricatley beaded hippy skirts. The ultimate in bohemian style, this is the spot to get a dose of statment style in Ibiza. Beautiful accessories make for special gifts, while if it's a unique one of a kind frock you're after, this is the place. Just a 5 minute stroll from my apartment in Talamanca I'm saving up for a September splurge.

I snapped up a beautiful handmade mini skirt, adorned with embroidery and red pompoms. Look out for a post coming soon when I take it for a spin.
