Sunsets & Shades

Sunday evenings are not my fave, I always fear that back to school feeling - that was until I moved to Ibiza. I'd heard Sunday evenings at Benniras beach are a pretty special (thanks for the tip Wendy Rigg). So, I made the trip to the northern part of the island through endless winding roads and was not disappointed. I was greeted with the cutest little cove packed with like minded locals looking to say farewell to the weekend in style.

Now, Benniras is a special spot to watch the sunset any evening, but Sundays are particularly cool, as a group of traditional drummers desend and provide tunes in the lead up. The beach gets packed so it's advisable to arrive during the afternoon and plot up on the beach. You'll spot big groups of families and freinds catching up over a cold cerveza and as the sunset gets closer the party atmosphere heats up. There's even a little market for anyone who needs a fashion fix.
