Market Mania

Today I got my first shopping fix of the season as I spent the afternoon at Las Dalias Hippy Market.

If you're visiting Ibiza this is one place that should be crowning your visit list. I've shopped at Punta Arabi hippy market (Wednesdays) before on holidays to Ibiza but I'd heard that Las Dalias was the one. While Punta Arabi is HUGE, super busy with tourists and has a lot of repetition when it comes to what's on sale, Las Dalias has a more condensed and authentic vibe.

Open on Fridays from 10am- 8pm, the best time visit is after 2pm and you can expect to find anything from kaftans, to handmade jewels, to original artwork and henna artists. There are a few cafes dotted around the market, a refreshing limon stall and Dan even found a music spot to listen to tunes while I shopped.

I was pretty happy with my first haul, a cute crochet and gold bracelet, a printed blanket for beach days, a handmade leather purse, some cute postcards and an ibiza baby bib for our niece or nephew that's on the way - so cute!

But my favourite part? The hand made merry-go-round - if only I was 8!

These boots are made from leather and antique morrocan carpets, the man who makes them has been creating and selling them since 1985 - that's as long as I've been alive!
