Ibiza bound...

I guess I should start by explaining my inspirations behind the blog. As a fashion stylist and writer for the past 8 years I started out just a smidge before the blogger scene went crazy and after grafting my way through an internship and fighting my way into magazines, I was never much of a blogging fan. But a summer of fun and style in Ibiza? Now that's something worth writing about, I say. I'll be keeping it short and sweet, a six month style diary of anything that catches my eye - or lands in my wardrobe - as me and the boy swap sunny Essex for Eivissa.
Why Ibiza? Well, as the big 3 0 looms ever closer and everyone around us is either wedding planning or popping out bubbas we thought we'd spend the final months of our twenties a little differently and do a runner to the White Isle. With me hoping to swap London studios and crammed fashion cupboards for poolside shoots and flip flop features, and Dan making his way as a superstar DJ, it seemed like the only sensible option!
We said a sad farewell to our little white house, 9 van trips and 30 boxes later, it turns out I have a lot of shoes - it's part of my job! Loaded up our trusty Fiat 500 to the brim with essentials - bikinis (17 to be exact) for me and records for Dan, and we were off.
According to the sat nav it takes 22 hours to drive to our new home. We set off Monday at 5am and pulled into Eivissa at 9pm Tuesday. 40 hours in total but we did have a little stop over in France and I only tried to go the wrong way around a roundabout once... So, good going I'd say.
Now with introductions out of the way, I should get down to business. I started the blog to document all things style related, so here's the fashion bit.
What does one wear for the longest car journey ever...
In tribute to the Queen of Ibiza style, I gave my Vintage Kate Moss for Topshop smock top an outing. With bohemian embroidery and adorned with sequins ( I do love a bit of daytime sparkle) this is my favourite top in my wardrobe and it goes with just about anything. This time around I paired it with jersey hareem pants from New Look - totes a bargain at £12.99 and it felt like I was wearing my PJ's. My rules are go for one a-mazing piece per outfit (Kate Moss smock) and then filter in some luxe accessories, i went for gold studded espadrilles from River Island, a diamante bar bracelet from Accessorize and a charm bracelet that I handmade myself - yes I'm a show-off.
So, now I am an official Eivissa resident I'm off to unpack, oh and sunbathe obvs :)
